Toyota has already entered into the market to give its rivals a tight competition with its Rush. Looking at its design and features, it is highly anticipated that it would soon get listed in buyer’s list. It was launched in 2018 by keeping the changing trend and demand of people in mind. Currently it is being sold in South Africa, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. Once launched, the Toyota Rush which is a 7-seater SUV can do well in the Indian market where cars are not just bought for self-use but keeping the family in mind. However, it has to compete with other SUVs, but it mostly looks like an MPV. It has 6 color themes to choose from: White, Black Mica, Silver Mica Metallic, Bordeaux Mica Red, Mica Metallic and Bronze Mica Metallic. It could be a game changer.

Exterior

Talking about its exterior, it does stand out in terms of its road presence. Considering the dimension of a SUV, Rush is comparatively larger than some SUVs with a larger wheelbase. It definitely looks sporty and aggressive with the multi segment front grille, sleek headlamps with LED DRL, fog lights with black housing, a black colored bottom bumper with silver color spoiler. From the side profile, you will find a 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheel. The 220 mm ground clearance gives it a sportier appeal. The rear has sleek and segmented tail lights, black cladding and a silver skid plate. With its roof spoiler and roof rails on an aerodynamic design with that canted style, it is an attractive model which will grab your attention at once.

Interiors

Moving into the interior, the Toyota Rush has a clean and well finished dashboard with a smart usage of leather work to make it looks more upmarket. The seats are well cushioned, and leather wrapped. The tilt adjustable steering wheel bears some buttons to control music and media. The analog instrument console consists of speedometer and tachometer with a digital info display in the middle of them. In the center of the dashboard, you get a capacitive touchscreen infotainment system along with 8 speakers to keep the beats up and a automatic temperature control below to the touch screen.

In back row, the space is enough to give you a decent legroom and knee room. The boot space with all the rows up doesn’t seem much, however, with the rear seat down, you can get 609 L of storage. The interior is equipped with some other small but useful features for your convenience.

The safety features include 7 airbags, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, vehicle stability control and Hill assist control.

Features

Talking about its performance which will decide its fate in the market, it is available both in diesel and petrol variant. The 1.5 L petrol engine produces a power of 107 Bhp and 141 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual or auto transmission whereas the 1.4 L diesel variant produces a power of 100 Bhp and 220 Nm of torque with 6 speed manual transmission only.

Looking at its features and performance, it seems like the price would start around Rs 10 lakhs.

It is a hybrid of a SUV and a MPV and if you are a fan of Toyota, you can wait for Rush without rushing for other models.
